Online Safety
Our learners are spending more and more time on line and it is important that, as a school community, we all work together to keep them safe.
Online Safety is a key component of our Computing Curriculum and is taught throughout the year. We also take part in Safer Internet Day which takes places annually in February. It is vital that we do not restrict our learners from using these tools as they will need to be confident in their use in later life. They will also need the skills to navigate online safely and behave respectfully when contributing to, for example, social media content.
Our Acceptable User Policies are discussed and shared with our learners each year. They set out what they need to commit to in order to keep safe online. These are attached below. We also have some information for parents in the Learners section of this website about how you can ensure that online access is monitored at home and our learners remain safe.
Further information about our approach to teaching online safety, can be found in our Online & Anti Bullying Policies.
